Randy and Beau also discuss his time serving in the Coast Guard Reserves and the Coast Guard museum, which he is a part of bringing to life.

We are very sad to relay the passing of the cornerstone to The National Defense radio show in our 20-year run with the death of Jerry Newberry. Randy shares his thoughts on Jerry, how each week’s show open was initially penned by Jerry, and we take a look back to an exhilarating segment that Jerry recorded live in the Kornegal valley on one of his many embeds with our troops over the years.
