The National Defense welcomes the hilarious comedian Jim Gaffigan to the show!  Jim and Randy talk about race horses, signing his Father Time Bourbon, and the super exciting “Everything is Wonderful” Tour coming to a city near you.

We welcome the Music Director from one of our absolute favorite VSOs to the show: Jay Clementi from Songwriting With Soldiers to the program, along with retired Army Ranger PK Kelley.  Jay and PK talk with Randy about the incredible Songwriting with Soldiers program, their own history meeting at one of their songwriting retreats, and a listen to a song that will raise the hairs on the back of your neck, “Daddy’s Son.”

Andy Richter joins Randy Miller on The National Defense to talk about his new film “Obsession” in theaters now.  “Obsession” revolves around a character who, after breaking the mysterious "One Wish Willow" to win his crush's heart, gets exactly what he asked for. However, he soon discovers that some desires come at a dark and sinister price.  Andy fills us in on the new film, which he calls one of the “best projects” he’s ever been involved with, “Dancing With the Stars” and much more.

Director Eric Appel joins the show to talk about movies, music, and the release of his new film starring Nate Bargatze: “The Breadwinner.”  Eric tells us about the creative process in putting together both this new family-friendly release, but also the Weird Al Yankovic pseudo-biography “Weird.”  Make sure to check out “The Breadwinner” at a theater near you!

We welcome comedian and now late-night host Ben Gleib to the program!  Randy and Ben talk about the brand-new late-night show, which airs on YouTube at  YouTube.com/@goodnight.  The show has just started, but already has incredible guests like director Kevin Smith.  Ben also gives his personal thanks to the men and women of our armed forces.

The National Defense is thrilled to welcome one of the best movie villains of the 1980s; actor Dolph Lundgren!  Dolph is hosting the History Channel’s “History’s Greatest Machines”, and he fills Randy in on what viewers can expect from the show, a GREAT story about meeting James Brown, as well as some details from his new memoir, “Fights Worth Fighting: Finding Strength in Struggle.”

We welcome country music superstar Clint Black to the show to talk about his life and career in music, making dreams come true on the radio, and how he put all those great stories into his new memoir.  The book is titled “Killing Time”, and it sheds light on all of the highs and lows, the triumph and treachery, the ins and outs of Clint’s illustrious singing, producing, and acting career.

We welcome comedian Ben Morrison to the show to talk about his new standup special “Ben Morrison: 45” a blend of killer jokes, unique visual comedy, and film that proves you're truly only as old as you actually are. We welcome Court TV’s Vinnie Politan, the host of “Vinnie Politan Investigates,” to the show to talk about some of the criminal cases you can check out on his show, the highest-rated program on Court TV!  Randy and Vinnie discuss the Murdaugh case being overturned in South Carolina, amongst other stories you see in the headlines each day.  Check out Vinnie’s regular weekday segments at 8 pm Eastern on Court TV.

We welcome Maria Menounos, the host of the new series “Designed to Last” on Hulu, to The National Defense.  Maria fills us in on the show, which brings together architects, engineers, and inventors to tackle one of today's most urgent challenges: safeguarding homes against unpredictable and extreme real-world conditions.  Randy and Maria also discuss her trip to visit our Troops in Afghanistan.
