The National Defense Radio Show
The National Defense Radio Show has been heard on more than a hundred radio stations across the United States and the 400+ overseas Armed Forces Radio Networks around the globe. The Armed Forces Network reaches more than one million American service men and women, DOD, civilians, and their families on every military base, outpost and all ships at sea. The weekly show has consisted of a combination of celebrity interviews, executive interviews, and discussions with political and news figures, delivering content that entertains, informs and supports those who serve, and have served, our country. The show is hosted by Randy Miller, a 25-year broadcast veteran having hosted shows in Pittsburgh, Atlanta, San Diego, Cincinnati and Kansas City. Randy is the recipient of multiple broadcasting awards, including “Air Personality of the Year” from Billboard Magazine and the Radio Music Awards.

Randy speaks with the Capones about Marcus’ time in the service and the treatment methods he and Amber sought when he struggled with P.T.S.D. and other related symptoms. Through VETS’ Foundational Healing Grants, they provide funding, coaching, and additional resources for veterans seeking treatment with psychedelic-assisted therapies.

New York Homicide takes viewers into some of the wild and shocking homicidest occur in New York City’s five boroughs. Ford is donating a customized 2023 Bronco Badlands the Bandelier National Park outside of Los Alamos, New Mexico. This custom donated vehicle will feature specialized equipment inside and out, including a state-of-the-art government communication system with satellite and antenna connections to provide reliability and redundancy in the most remote environments.

We wrapped up the month of June and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Awareness month. We speak to Erin Fletcher, Psy.D. who serves as the Warrior Care Network Director for Wounded Warrior Project (WWP). In this role, Erin ensures synergy across all WWP mental health programs. WWP is using technology to help our wounded veterans identify and treat PTS and fills us in on the world class programs that Wounded Warrior Project is putting into place for this generation of veterans.
