The National Defense welcomes yet another incredible guest from one of our favorite new VSOs in the world:  Radney Foster from Songwriting With Soldiers!  Randy and Radney (keep it straight) discuss the mission of Songwriting With Soldiers as well as Radney’s incredible career.  The new single “The One They Call” written with former Army Sgt. Matthew Chapman and his wife Debbi, who finally agreed to marry Chapman after he deployed to Iraq in the early 2000s because, as the song goes, “if anything happens, I want to be the one they call.”

We welcome Ford Motor Company’s Michael Cope, Senior Director of Consumer Marketing, to the show to talk about an exciting multi-year partnership with Major League Baseball, Minor League Baseball, and the Little Leagues! Nate Herron discusses the new partnership between Ford and MLB, and has Michael give us a brief preview of what you can expect to see at your favorite Major League club’s stadium, all the way to a kid’s field near you.

Derrick is a hilarious comedian and is here to promote the release of his new Netflix special, Nostalgic. The guys talk about the comedy industry, the benefits of cigarette smoking when producing a talk show, and more!

We welcome back to our show the Long Island Medium, Theresa Caputo, to talk about her touring Platinum Experience, an intimate, exclusive version of her live show, often held at luxury resorts or specialized venues. It offers fans closer, more personal connections with the Medium's spirit communications compared to larger arena events. Randy and Michael discuss the reality gameshow, his long and storied acting career, as well his sentiments to all those that listen to our show currently serving around the world.

Alfonso Ribiero returns to The National Defense to talk all things TV, and a big BIG milestone being hit by the long-running series “America’s Funniest Videos.” AFV is celebrating it’s 800TH episode, and Randy gets the scoop from Alfonso on what viewers can expect from this episode as well as some of his thoughts on touring our amazing country.

We welcome comedian Julian McCollough, who serves as an emcee for Nate Bargatze on his new ABC game show The Greatest Average American. The show, which premiered in February 2026, centers on trivia and challenges related to the lives of everyday Americans, and we absolutely LOVE it. Randy and Julian talk about the show, getting called up out of Nate’s farm system, and much more.

The National Defense is thrilled to welcome a force in aerospace achievement, the first woman to ever command a US spacecraft, a retired NASA astronaut and Air Force colonel, Eileen Collins! Eileen is the subject of the new documentary Spacewoman, which chronicles her trailblazing NASA career and personal life, based on her memoir Through the Glass Ceiling to the Stars. It is receiving a select theatrical release in March 2026.

Phil Rosenthal has been on our show enough times he’s being honored as an official co-host, but this week he brings along his daughter Lily to promote their new children’s book “Just Try It Someplace New.”  Randy’s granddaughter Gloria LOVED the book, and Randy fills us all in on the project in this segment.
