We welcome Army Spouse, speaker and military spouse advocate, Beth Conlin, to the show to discuss the challenges to military spouse employment by combating the ills of the DoD’s Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA).  Beth has been on a mission to “burn the SOFA” after moving to Germany and facing severe restrictions for her employer due to the needless barriers put in place by SOFA.

We welcome Sue Farrell, the founder and Director for Boots to Suits, a clothing program for veterans transitioning from military life to civilian careers.  Sue talks with Randy about how falling in love with an old sailor, and seeing his younger naval veterans having trouble dressing the part when looking for employment in the civilian sector.  Boots to Suits not only provides clothing, but more importantly education and training on how to dress for interviews and the workday.

Michael Quinn, Army Veteran and Founder of Tenova

The National Defense welcomes retired Army Sergeant Major Michael Quinn to the program to talk about his time in the U.S. Army, and the struggle he encountered finding work in the civilian world once he completed his 24 years of service to our country.  Michael started Tenova, which seeks to improve veteran talent pipelines, marketing campaigns, and veteran retention programs for companies worldwide.
